| About Us |
Building Up Sports Academy was founded in the year 2001 by first year
school teacher and baseball coach David Aagaard. What started out as
a part time summer job running 2 baseball camps has grown to a full-time
commitment. Building Up Sports Academy has grown to over 60 camps a
Summer while servicing over 1,500 campers per year in Palm Beach
County, FL as well as Nantucket, Mass. The camps included are
baseball, basketball, flag-football, soccer, dance and cheer-leading,
karate, lacrosse and fishing camps. New sports programs and camps
have been added every year. Our fishing camps and programs have
become one of the largest in the state.
The primary mission is to offer training in different areas as it relates to
youth and athletics. All of our camp directors are state certified teachers
and coaches with background checks.
Activities offered or run by Building Up Sports Academy will focus on three
different components:
I. Basic Skills Training: Involves skills training for the inexperienced
player to the most skilled athlete. Drills are designed to work at
individuals skill level.
II. Character and Sports Etiquette: Teaching young athletes how to
control emotions and play the games. Skills for sports as well as life. We
teach sportsmanship and teamwork skills as much as individual sports
skills.
III. Nutrition and Health: Focusing on what information athletes need
to know and how to apply them. Special emphasis on physical fitness and
injuries.
The goal of Building Up Sports Academy is to provide a fun, safe, and
enjoyable atmosphere for all participants. Camps will focus on all of the
following concepts, values and training exercises.

Integrity Fundamental Skills
Teamwork Discipline
Exercise Hard-work
Nutrition Code of Ethics
Dignity (Win or Lose) Health
Commitment Excitement
This organization would like to prepare all youth for play at the next level
and increase their ability to participate positively in sports.
